West Anglian Orienteering Club

WAOC Club Nights

You are here: WAOC Home > Club Nights

WAOC will be running club nights from Tuesday 7 September to Tuesday 7 December. ALL ARE VERY WELCOME, whatever their orienteering skills or running ability. Cost £1 per adult, 50p per junior or student, £2 per family. The evenings will involve a variety of activities aimed at improving fitness while honing orienteering skills.

The Club Nights will take place at the University Athletics Centre, Wilberforce Road, CB3 0EQ on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Tuesday of the month. The centre boasts very impressive facilities and the surrounding area (streets, fields, University parkland etc.) should be good for O-training. The Centre is at the West end of Adams Road, which runs West from Grange Road ().

The plan for the Evenings is that people should arrive ready to start promptly at 6.45 pm - there is ample car parking and changing - and that we finish by 8:30, probably with tea, coffee and biscuits. If you would like to warm up before you run, please turn up at 6:30 when Tim Mulcahy has agreed to lead the warm-up.

On the 2nd Tuesday we shall be going 'off-site' so we shall be making sure that you know where we shall be and also that you can get a lift there if you need one.

For further information please contact and I will pass on your message.
