Organisers' Comments

Well after a misty start, a lovely warm day for our first day of Autumn in Anglia. It was great to catch up with so many of you, and Emma and I hope you all enjoyed your runs. The planner was definitely correct about the high grass- even higher when you fell down a deep hole as well! Still, thanks to Mike B as planner and Phil Halford as controller for giving us some great courses to keep us entertained. As always, thanks to the merry band of helpers from WAOC and SUFFOC without which the event wouldn't have happened.

A bit of lost property - 1 control description holder, one stripey blue towel, and one pale grey well-loved fleece. All will be at Bury for collection.

Looking forward to day 2 and seeing many of you again tomorrow.

Helen Hague (WAOC)

Entry Details

On-line pre-entry is essential. Although current (July 21) BO guidance for England removes all restrictions on numbers entering and participating, we will not be able to accept entry on the day.

On line entries at Fabian4 are now closed.

Prior to the closing date, entry fees were at a reduced rate until midnight on Sunday 26th September 2021, with final entries closing on midnight 3rd October 2021. No entries will be accepted after this deadline.

In line with British Orienteering policy, we cannot accept entries for the Blue and Brown courses from juniors younger than age 16 on the day of the event as these courses involve an unmarshalled crossing of a road with fast moving traffic. Otherwise, anyone may enter any course, but most entrants are expected to enter the course corresponding to their age class, as indicated in the table below. In order to be competitive in the UKOL or EAL leagues you must enter the correct course for your class.
