A chance to experience a brand new location for Urban orienteering, Hampton Hargate, with an event featuring 8 courses from 1.3 km to 9.8 km. The event is part of the East Anglian Urban League and the South England Urban League.
Directions / Parking
The event centre will be at the Vivacity Leisure Centre, Hampton Hargate, PE7 8HG. Parking will be in the Leisure centre car park.
Course Information
The start will be 480m/5mins walk from the leisure centre. Juniors will need to be escorted to/from the start/finish area.
Course details to be confirmed, but due to the nature of urban orienteering, those aged under 16 on the day of the event can only enter courses 7 or 8 (2.3/1.3km), and those under 12 can only enter course 8 (1.3km).
Electronic punching will be used. All numbered controls will operate in beacon mode to enable non-contact punching with SIAC dibbers. Conventional (contact) and non-contact (SIAC) “Dibbers” will be available for hire.

To be competitive in the EAUL and SEOUL, you must run the designated course for your age class.

On-line advance entry is now closed. Start list, showing start block times for those already entered, can be viewed on Fabian4.
Entry on the day will be available for all courses subject to availability of maps.

Registration and Start Times
Registration will open at 10:00 am for on the day entry, enquiries, and hired dibber collection. Starts will run from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Pre-entered runners have been allocated a 15 minute start block, to match start time preferences. The block time is the start of the 15 minute period. For example, if you are allocated the 11:15 start block, please aim to arrive at the start between 11:15 and 11:29. We will not be enforcing start times.
Courses close at 2:30 pm.
Terrain and map details
Map scale is at 1:5,000 with 2.5m contour intervals. The area is mostly flat, city streets, but also
includes some parkland. Maps and loose control descriptions are pre-printed on waterproof paper.
Control descriptions are symbolic for courses 1-6 and descriptive for courses 7 and 8.
