Report
We hope you enjoyed your runs around the parkland around Cherry Hinton Hall. Even though it's not a very big area, the score course was quite challenging as it was easy to lose track of which of the 30 controls you'd got (hint: take a pen and cross them off!).
It was very disappointing to have two controls stolen (plus a third where we managed to find the culprits and get it back). Hopefully, this didn't spoil it too much for you. We made controls 219 and 225 optional, so if you missed them it didn't matter. For the score course, we made them score zero points.
Update: 15th March. Luckily, we found one of controls today outside the park, but one is still missing.

Directions / Parking
There is a small, free car park at the entrance to the park. If you live locally, it would be helpful if you could walk / cycle / catch the bus.
In case the car park is full, parking is also available on the residential streets nearby.
Registration will be close to the car park.

Course Information
We typically offer the following courses at a Park-O event:
- Short ~ 2km Easy (Comparable to a "Yellow" course at a regular Orienteering event)
- Long ~ 3km Medium difficulty (Comparable to an "Orange" course at a regular O event)
- Odds/Evens score course - intended for more experienced orienteers: visit as many controls as you can within a fixed time limit of 30 minutes. You can get odds and then evens or evens then odds, but once you switch you cannot go back.
If you want to know more about how we grade courses as "Easy", "Medium" etc., look for the "Colour Coded Course Standards" section in our beginners' guide.
Entry Details
Each course costs £3 for juniors/students and £5 for adults (21yrs+) or family groups. Entry for a second course on the same day is just £1 subject to map availability.
In order to ensure you get to run the course of your choice, we recommend that you pre-register to take part in this event, which you can do at WAOC entries at oentry.uk (Entries will open one month in advance of the event).
