Warm weather greeted everyone today and we had a strong turnout especially for the long course. Caroline's courses were a little more twisty than usual which made them feel fresh even for previous visitors to our Wandlebury events. The cakes were also very popular and we apologise to the later finishers who missed out.

A Park-O at Wandlebury. A fun orienteering event aimed at juniors, families and new-to-the-sport adults in beautiful Wandlebury Country Park. All welcome!
Park-O Series Info
Our Park-O events are an easy way for juniors and adults to try orienteering. Based in parks around Cambridge, Park-O takes place on a Saturday afternoon 1pm-3pm. We schedule our Park-Os in the gaps between our full scale Sunday orienteering events and we hope that once you have tried Park-O you will come along to all our events.

Directions / Parking
Wandlebury Country Park is located on the Gog Magog Hills just south of Cambridge. The park is 2 miles south of Addenbrooke’s Hospital roundabout on A1307 between Cambridge and Haverhill.
Postcode for satnav: CB22 3AE. It is signposted off the A1307
Entry to the park is FREE but car parking charges apply (£3 for any length of visit; members and disabled drivers park free). The car parking machine only accepts coins.
There is a cycle path from Cambridge alongside the A1307 to the park. Cycling is not allowed in the park (except young children) but cycle parking is available at the car park.
Wandlebury is also well-served by Stagecoach Citiplus X13 and X13a bus service between Cambridge and Haverhill. There are stops close to the park entrance.

Course Information
We typically offer the following courses at a Park-O event:
- Short ~ 2km Easy (Comparable to a "Yellow" course at a regular Orienteering event)
- Long ~ 3km Medium difficulty (Comparable to an "Orange" course at a regular O event)
- Odds/Evens score course, intended for more experienced orienteers: visit as many controls as you can within a fixed time limit.

Registration and Start Times
Registration and starts between 1pm and 3pm.
Please note that courses close at 3:30pm. If you wish to do the long course, you need to start by 2:30pm, unless you have sufficient experience that you will be able to finish before 3:30pm
Dog restrictions
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times. Dog bins are provided.
