This event forms part of the 2025 East Anglian Urban League.

This urban orienteering event is Day 2 of the Autumn in Anglia Weekend, co-hosted by WAOC and SUFFOC. Day 1 is a forest orienteering event at West Harling. You can find out more about the West Harling event on the SUFFOC website.

Directions / Parking

Parking at : Barton Road car park, Ely CB7 4HZ

Free long stay on a Sunday

If travelling Northbound on A10 towards Ely from Cambridge, go straight ahead (second exit) at roundabout where A10 and A142 meet, following signs to historic centre and travelling along Cambridge Road. After about 2.5 miles, turn right into Barton Road (signed Cathedral car park), then after 0.3 miles turn left into Militia Way (signed Long Stay car park).

From the East, travel along A14, and leave at junction 37 to follow A142 to Ely. Go right (third exit) at roundabout where A10 and A142 meet, following signs to historic centre and travelling along Cambridge Road. After about 2.5 miles, turn right into Barton Road (signed Cathedral car park), then after 0.3 miles turn left into Militia Way (signed Long Stay car park).

Travelling South, follow A10 to Ely and go left (first exit) at roundabout where A10 and A142 meet, following signs to historic centre and travelling along Cambridge Road. After about 2.5 miles, turn right into Barton Road (signed Cathedral car park), then after 0.3 miles turn left into Militia Way (signed Long Stay car park).

The Sports Hall is a 5 min walk from Barton Road car park and will be signed from the car park.

Junior starts will take place between 10.30 and 11.30 so please bear this in mind for your travel plans

Entry Details

On-line advance entry using Fabian4 is open now, and will remain open until 1st October 2025.

In addition, entry on the day will be available for all courses, subject to availability of maps.

We are offering a discount for entering both Autumn in Anglia events in advance: the discount is £2 off adult entry and £1 per junior/student entered.

If you require an extra map, this costs £1.

Helper discounts are available for EAOA club members, set at 50% of the entry fee. Please contact entries@waoc.org.uk for the helper discount code before entering. You can help on either or both days- in particular we are aiming to have mixed teams of helpers from SUFFOC and WAOC across the two days.

For those of you wanting to use up your free run vouchers from the British Sprints, please email entries@waoc.org.uk giving your name, age class, club, course and dibber number to reserve your map and then 'pay' with your voucher on the day.

Registration will open at 10:00 am for on the day entry, enquiries, and hired dibber collection. Senior tarts will run from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Junior starts will take place between 10.30 and 11.30 so please bear this in mind for your travel plans

Courses close at 2.30 pm.

Assembly is at Sports Hall, King’s School Ely, off Barton Road, Ely. This will include dibber hire and collection, toilets and download. There will not be race bibs. Anybody who has hired a dibber through Fabian4 will need to collect their dibber on the day, before going to the start.


Facilities

Toilets are available in the Sports Hall. There will not be a clothing dump, nor any water at the finish.
