Quite a few runners ignored the football to come to an interesting new area (but you could hear the cheer from the pub when England scored).

Two activities are planned in the picturesque Rib valley in rural Hertfordshire.
A 45 minute score event on a brand new 1:7500 map of the meadows bordering the river Rib.
The map is not large or technical but the route choices available and general time management should make an interesting score event.
For those wanting a different challenge there is an 8km cross country run with the route defined by a set of 50 annotated photographs. This is a very scenic run with fine views, crossing several fords, through ancient woods, a glimpse of Canary Wharf, through a stud farm and along a 1km tree lined disused railway line. There is also a 5km route, shorter but less scenic.
