Last updated: Sun 28th June 2026
22 WAOC members travelled to Bristol to compete at the British Sprint Championships on 28th June.
There were some notable successes with four podium places.
Erik (M16) and Hebe (W20) both stood on the top step by winning their age classes and getting Gold. There were Bronze medals for Esther (W12) and Sue (W70).

In the morning, the runners took part in heats to determine whether they made the A final (for the medals) or the B final.
Other top-10 results in the A finals were:
- Stephen Borrill M55
- Janet Cronk W65
A small mistake in the morning could therefore affect whether you made the cut for the A finals. While medals weren't awarded for the B finals there were some strong top-3 finishers there too:
- Alys Powell (W14)
- Elysia Cowe (W14)
- Camilla Darwin (W55)
Full results can be found on the Bristol Orienteering Klub website.
