WAGAL 2023Points from Maulden Wood are now on the scoreboard
The standings after the first event of the year can be seen on the WAGAL Scoreboard.
The Feb 12th fixture at Hockham, which was to have been the CompassSport Cup qualifier for WAOC and so was included as a WAGAL event, has been cancelled. The qualifier is now combined with our Icenian weekend at Croxton Heath on 19th February.
East Anglian Championships - WAOC Winners2022 Champs were at our Bromehill event on 27th November
Congratulations to all WAOC members who won in their category at the 2022 East Anglian Championships:
Elysia Cowe (W10), Alex Darwin (M12), Chun Yan Alistair Fu (M14), Dil Wetherill (M55), Jenny Carlsson (W35), Helen Bickle (W40), Camilla Darwin (W50), Sue Hartley (W65), and Hazel Bickle (W70).
WAGAL 2022 - The WinnersLeague Scores finalised after all 5 events of the year
The overall highest scorer this year is Sue Hartley, who also wins her category.

Compass Sport finalA team of 28 travel to Scotland
WAOC fielded a strong team at the Compass Sport final near Falkirk on 16th October. The team finished 8th out of 15 teams with some outstanding individual performances.
Junior European Cup 2022From our International Correspondent
Congratulations to Alex Wetherill who represented Great Britain in the 2022 Junior European Cup, which was held in Blankenburg, Germany, 1st – 3rd October, 2022. For full details, click here.
WAOC at the Lakes 5 Days 2022
Some notable achievements from WAOC competitors in this year's Lakes 5 Days, held during August.
In the overall results combining all 5 days, Hana Powell won W10B, and consequently has a tree planted in her honour on the island of Mull, Noreen Ives was 2nd in W65S, Mike Bickle was 2nd in M70S, Hazel Bickle was 2nd in W70S, and Helen Bickle was 3rd in W40S.
EA Schools Champs 2022
The first regional school champs since 2019 was held in Haughley Park on 2nd October. There were some good results from WAOC juniors representing their schools, including two category winners: Elysia in the Girls Primary class, and Alistair in the Boys Year 9-10 category.
Welsh Championships 2022
Congratulation to the Welsh members of the Powell family who took part in the Welsh Championships held in North West Wales, at Gwanas (near Dolgellau) on 1 October 2022. They achieved medal places as follows:

Hana Powell - W10 Bronze
Johanna Powell - W45 Bronze
WAOC's Winners in the 2021-2022 ESSOL School League
Three of our club juniors were winners in their categories in the league for 2021-22, and receive a trophy: Elysia (G Y3-4), Kate (G Y7-8), and Alistair (B Y9-10).
